Stage Door Conservatory's On Broadway Ensemble presents
The Wiz

Dorothy has been transported to a magical world. She travels with the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion to enlist the help of The Wiz so that she can return home. This musical adaptation of the The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum debuted on Broadway in 1975. Featuring music and lyrics by Charlie Smalls and book by William F. Brown, the play originally featured an African American cast and won seven Tony awards. We hope you will join us for our 2008 On Broadway production of The Wiz as we Ease on Down the Road with a talented cast of young actors from our community.

When a band of pirates needs a new crewmember, young Jeremy Jacob jumps at the chance. He quickly discovers the challenges of life on a pirate ship - storms, swabbing the decks, walking the plank, mutiny. But it is hidden treasure that keeps a pirate's life exciting! Jeremy learns there is treasure to be found not only on a pirate ship but also at home. This musical version of the American Library Association's selection for a Notable Children's Book Award will thrill pirates and landlubbers alike. Ages 4+

The 5th (and Final) George Bush Going Away Party: An Evening of Political Comedy

Like the first four, The 5th (and Final) George Bush Going Away Party provides well-needed comic relief as well as raising awareness and funds for the Central Committee for Conscientious Objectors' (CCCO) "Military Out of Our Schools Campaign." Part of a 4-city Northern California tour, but you'll want to see it in Berkeley.

Featuring a variety of political comedians from the Bay Area:
- Aundre the Wonderwoman (anti-death penalty lawyer by day, comic by night)
