Construction for the beautiful landmark building that has become The Julia Morgan Center for the Arts was completed in 1910. This was Julia Morgan's first major commission for a new building, but was followed by hundreds, as she set up her practice as the first female architect in the Bay Area.

As an Art Center for the community, the building has become a home to artists and a reliable venue for patrons to experience a vast array of quality entertainment. Come and enjoy the spectacular acoustics, the warm atmosphere and the welcoming community that surrounds the Center!

Nestled in the heart of the Elmwood District on College Avenue, the JMCA theatre boasts:
- 328 seat capacity (with side seating, up to 380)
- Wheelchair accessibility
- Stage - 31 feet deep by 39 feet wide       
- Lighting/sound system
