Performing at The Julia Morgan

Construction for the beautiful landmark building that has become The Julia Morgan was completed in 1910. This was Julia Morgan's first major commission for a new building, but was followed by hundreds, as she set up her practice as the first female architect in the Bay Area.

This landmark building is now the home for the Bay Area's outstanding children and youth arts experiences. Come and enjoy the spectacular acoustics, the warm atmosphere and the welcoming community that surrounds The Center!

Nestled in the heart of the Elmwood District on College Avenue, The Julia Morgan theater boasts:
- (with side seating, 350; with modified pit, up to 390)
- Wheelchair accessibility
- Stage - 31 feet deep by 39 feet wide       
- Lighting/sound system

RENTAL FEES
Theater Rental Fees include:
- House technical assistance
- House management assistance
- Ticketing/box office set-up and attendance
- Publicity support

Our Theater Rental Agreement details the fees and policies that apply to use of the Julia Morgan stage. Our Available Date Calendar details which future dates may be available for your performance or event.

STUDIO RENTALS
The Julia Morgan also has two Studios available for rental by non-profit arts groups; suitable for Dance, Theatre and Music rehearsals. Rates are $25.00 per hour and proof of liability insurance is required. (Weekday afternoons 4:00pm-7:00pm, and Weekends before 2:00pm are generally booked.)
