Based on the book by Astrid Lindgren
Translated by Thomas W. Olson and Truda Stockenstrom
Music by Roberta Carlson, Lyrics by Thomas W. Olson

Everyone's favorite zany redhead is moving back to her childhood home, Villa Villa Kula. With her father lost at sea, Pippi returns with her monkey, Mr. NilsonÑand her pet horse, of course. The townsfolk think she needs to be taught and tamed, but Anneka and Tommy, her next door neighbors, are pretty sure Pippi is the one with the lesson plans. And, sure enough, she does fine on her own, beating the strong man at the carnival, foiling the plot of two robbers, and avoiding the local police who want to take her to the children's home. Word for Word Performing Arts Company presents
More Stories by Tobias Wolff

3 short stories, Firelight, Sanity and Down to the Bone.

Six years after the smash hit world premiere Stories by Tobias Wolff, Word for Word pairs up again with the short story master for More Stories by Tobias Wolff.

"A boy's adventures with his mom, window-shopping for apartments they can't afford, leads to the temptations of a warm hearth and unattainable security...An awkward teenager exploits an automotive chink in the armor of her stylish, self-assured stepmother...The brisk comedy of a middle-aged man's funeral home flirtation deepens the poignancy of his return to his dying mother's side...The acutely observed, dryly comic and deeply humane stories of Tobias Wolff are a perfect fit for Word for Word, the company that stages stories exactly as written with slyly inventive touches." -R.Hurwitt, SF Chronicle

Suitable for Children age 16 and older.

Ticket prices: Adult $25; Child/Student/Senior $20
